Known as "Devbhoomi" or the Land of Gods to the locals, Himachal Pradesh is predominantly a mountainous state transitioning from the plains to the high Himalayas. It is a delight for visitors, particularly during the hot summer when people flock to the hill stations to escape the scorching heat of the plains.
High points of the visit include the capital Shimla, one of India's most important hill stations. The Kullu Valley is also a beautiful, lush-green area with the sparkling Beas river and the snowcapped Himalayas forming the background.
From picturesque Manali the trip along the spectacular mountain road to Leh is breathtaking. The vehicular road is open for only a few months in summer.
Since 1992, the eastern valley of Lahaul, Spiti and Kinnaur have been open to foreigners once they obtain the Inner Line Permit. We arrange the permit on confirmation of the trip.
The people of these high Himalayas practice Tibetan Buddhism.
Dharamsala, the seat of H. H. the Dalai Lama, offers you enchanting view of the Kangra valley, besides experiencing the Tibetan culture and rural India.
